Room to Grow Gardening and Cooking Playgroup

In partnership with the Marshall Family Resource Center and the Humboldt County Office of Education, this unique playgroup offered caregivers and families with children ages 0-5 a fun and safe place to meet while offering children their first play experience. In addition to traditional playgroup songs and activities, participants grew a community garden and took part in nutrition and cooking activities. This program also featured INNside Cooking, where playgroup participants developed an INNside Cookbook, featuring easy, delicious and nutritional recipes designed to be cooked in a motel setting.
