The Winter Holiday Gift Program benefits children who reside at the Eureka Rescue Mission Women’s Shelter, The Serenity Inn, and children served by the Betty Kwan Chinn Homeless Foundation. City of Eureka staff are invited to “adopt” participating children, buying them gifts that they need, such as socks and jackets, and want, such as fun toys and stuffed animals. Santa and his elf, along with C.A.P.E. staff deliver the gifts to each of the children. This program helps to make the season brighter for some of the most vulnerable children in our community.
